Due to this, there are a variety of factors that can cause pain to individual parts of the foot. The plantar fascia is the ligament connecting your heel to your toes and provides your arch support. A patient who strains his or her plantar fascia will experience immense pain and have significant trouble walking.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS THAT PLANTAR FASCIITIS TREATMENT IS NECESSARY

Symptoms may begin with minor amounts of strain on the feet from poor footwear or harsh increase in exercise and will fade with rest. However, when one is dealing with intense pain in the plantar fascia, professional treatment is necessary.

Signs and symptoms that plantar fasciitis treatment is necessary, includes:

  • Inflammation and irritation in the plantar fascia
  • Frequent discomfort while walking
  • Sudden pain upon the first steps after waking up in the morning
  • Pain from long periods of standing

While some of the symptoms do not seem harmful on their own, these symptoms can cause intense pain when they occur together. The pain will also get in the way of one’s normal function each day. The plantar fascia absorbs much of the shock-absorbing impact that the foot experiences on a regular basis. If the plantar fascia experiences too much strain and tension, it can begin to form small tears that cause inflammation and irritation.

Patients who attempt to fight through the pain or take basic pain medication to treat pain on the plantar fascia will only temporarily abate symptoms, but not treat the issue. By scheduling an appointment at our practice, we can help develop the best treatment method for the individual.

PLANTAR FASCIITIS TREATMENT

If the situation is not serious, treatment will involve simply resting the foot and using an arch support to help reduce inflammation with the plantar fascia. We will help patients create a treatment plan that not only heals the plantar fascia but ensures the foot does not go through the same problem in the future.

At Apex Center For Regenerative Medicine we may also recommend that patients complete physical therapy exercises that can help with relieving strain on the plantar fascia. We will listen to all concerns of the patient and recommend the best treatment. If you find yourself experiencing these symptoms on a daily basis, do not hesitate to call our office at 732-385-2739

If conservative treatment fails we may discuss a cortisone injection for pain relief. The injection will be performed using ultrasound guidance to ensure precise placement of the medicine.

Another minimally invasive treatment we offer is Tenex Health TX™. It is revolutionizing the treatment of soft tissue injuries. This procedure utilizes Fasciotomy and Surgical Tenotomy. Read more.
