Botox Injectables Work to Relax Wrinkles?
Botox® is approved to improve the appearance of fine lines around the eyes, also known as “crow’s feet,” forehead creases and the area between the eyes also known as the glabella.
Botox® and Xeomin® work by relaxing the facial muscles – which in turn, won’t allow the muscles to contract, thereby reducing the causes of wrinkles. Resulting in smooth flawless younger-looking skin.
How Does Botox Work?
Botox acts to block signals from the nerves to the muscles in your face. The injected facial muscle can no longer contract, which causes wrinkles and lines to relax and soften. Most often used on forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eye) and frown lines. No surgery required!
Botox treatments take only about a half-hour and don’t require anesthesia. Botox gets injected using a very thin needle into specific muscles of the face with only minor discomfort. It usually takes about three to seven days before you see the full effect, and we recommend that you avoid alcohol starting at least one week before the procedure.
A Botox can improve wrinkles and lines in these areas:
- Forehead Lines
- Crow’s feet (lines around the eye)
- Frown Lines
- Wrinkles caused by sun damage
How Long Does It Last?
Botox will last three to six months. That’s because the muscles that are treated gradually return along with the lines and wrinkles. So you will very likely need to be treated again if you want to maintain that youthful look.
